Who We Are (Data Controller)

Blixy is developed and operated by an individual indie maker. For purposes of the EU/UK GDPR, the data controller is the Blixy developer. Because the app does not collect personal data, most GDPR obligations are not triggered.

Data Collection

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Blixy operates entirely on your device and does not send any information to external servers.

We do not use analytics, advertising technologies, or cookies in the app. If you contact us by email, we will process your email address and message solely to respond to you and then delete it when no longer needed.

Full Access Permissions

Blixy requires “Full Access” permissions to enable certain iOS keyboard features to function properly. This permission is required by Apple's iOS system for:

  • Displaying custom keyboard themes and layouts
  • Enabling keyboard functionality such as autocorrect and text suggestions
  • Accessing system keyboard features that enhance the typing experience
  • Providing a smooth and responsive keyboard interface

Important: While this permission can technically allow network access, Blixy does not transmit what you type and does not send your personal data to any server. All keyboard operations happen locally on your device.

Local Processing

All theme customization and keyboard functionality is processed locally on your device. No data leaves your device or is shared with third parties.

Third-Party Services

Blixy does not integrate with any third-party services, analytics tools, or advertising networks. We maintain complete privacy by keeping all operations local.

Website and Cookies

Our marketing website may, now or in the future, use privacy‑respecting analytics (for example, Google Analytics or a similar provider). If and when analytics are enabled, we will:

  • Request consent from users in the EEA/UK before setting non‑essential cookies (per GDPR/ePrivacy).
  • Provide a cookie banner and a way to change or withdraw consent at any time.
  • Use the data solely to measure site usage and improve the website.

If analytics are enabled, details of the provider, cookies, and retention will be added to this policy and the cookie banner.

Legal Bases (GDPR)

Because the app does not collect personal data, we do not rely on a legal basis for app data processing. For website analytics (if enabled), our legal basis in the EEA/UK will be your consent for non‑essential cookies. We may process strictly necessary website data under legitimate interests (e.g., security, basic operations).

Data Retention

Since we don't collect any data, there's nothing to retain. Your theme preferences are stored locally on your device and can be deleted by uninstalling the app.

Your Rights

You have complete control over your data. If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you also have rights under GDPR, including the right to access, correct, delete, and restrict processing of your personal data. Because Blixy does not collect personal data, these rights are typically satisfied on-device by uninstalling the app or revoking permissions.

Complaints

If you are in the EEA/UK and believe your rights have been infringed, you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Contact details can be found on the website of the European Data Protection Board.

Children’s Privacy

Blixy is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

International Users

We make Blixy available worldwide. Since we do not collect or transfer personal data, no cross-border data transfers occur. If this changes in the future, we will update this policy and implement appropriate safeguards as required by GDPR.

India (DPDP) & Grievance

Blixy currently does not process personal data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP), as all operations are on-device. If you have concerns, you may contact our grievance contact at [email protected] once available. We will endeavor to address grievances within a reasonable time as per applicable law.
